The name REPETIT derives from the fusion of the Latin “repetita” (to repeat) and the French “petit” (small), highlighting the essence of a project that makes the repetition of the smallest element its distinctive stylistic signature.A surface that appears woven and reveals its true nature only at close range: this is the essence of Repetit, the new collection by Marco Spatti. The inspiration comes from the world of yarns, translated into a ceramic and plaster proposal that creates a visual and tactile interweaving. The tiles, characterized by small irregularly shaped grains, once installed form a continuous, seamless covering. From a distance, the surface appears like a compact, rhythmic fabric; up close, subtle textures emerge, inviting direct touch. The strength of the Repetit project lies in the role assigned to the plaster: no longer merely a technical detail, but a compositional element capable of shaping the final aesthetic. Tone-on-tone combinations or bolder contrasts — even alternating different grain colors on the same wall, unified by the same plaster nuance — enhance optical effects and depth.Made of glazed porcelain stoneware, Repetit comes in a single 18.5 Å~ 18.5 cm format and in three colors: Brick (red), Pure White (white), and Silver Grey (grey).

“The inspiration behind Repetit comes from the textile world. I was interested in the idea of recreating on a surface the visual and tactile experience of a chunky knit fabric. Thus, ceramic and plaster became the warp and weft with which to weave these new surfaces.”
