Matter, craftsmanship and shape.
REVERSE is the collection designed by Cristina Pettenuzzo OTTO studio for OPIFICIO CERAMICO that strikes out in unusual directions, celebrating and giving space to what is normally secondary using a “reverse” point of view. Designing forms in freedom, experimenting at 360 degrees, exploring material and its potential through the company’s experience and thanks to the extraordinary extruded full-body unglazed NeoclayTM stoneware for both flooring and walls, both indoors and outdoors. Its clays are different from one another and make the colours fascinating, material and intriguing.
The grout used for the joints, which is usually functional for laying tiles, becomes a co-protagonist and a integral part of the decorative project. Everything is linked to memories, remembered travels stemming from true or imaginary journeys. The shapes move away from regular figures to embrace what is unusual. A heterogeneous collection where we are surprised by a mark, an ironic detail, whether it be geometry or a stylized figure.
