Stone from the village of Vals, in the Canton of the Grisons, Switzerland. Mineralogically, it is a “micaceous fine-grained quartzite” containing mica, which gives it a special shine and allure. For this collection, Coem drew inspiration from the Therme Vals project by Peter Zumthor, which follows the logic of “less is more” and highlights the textural consistency of the stone material.

DUALMOOD by Coem interprets the particular graphic texture of this stone, designed for those who want to surround themselves with natural beauty, but who are also looking for a resistant, functional ceramic material with a striking,  distinctive pattern.
