The BOERI collection was born from a collaboration with the homonymous design studio (Stefano Boeri Interiors) aimed at studying a total use of the trunk, without generating any type of waste, creating a pattern composed of a combination of different formats: “It is as if we had x-rayed the trunk in horizontal parallel layers and used it in its entirety” (Stefano Boeri).
This collection aims at a new green and aesthetically refined way of representing best practices of use, transformation of nature and forests that invade spaces of daily life.
A wooden “carpet” that transforms parquet into a surface with a heterogeneous character, made up of elements and segments of various kinds. Size and modularity make it possible to recompose shapes in contact with the anatomy of the real material: wood.
Four boards of different widths and available in two lengths (20.80″cm & 36.60″cm) mixed together to create three modules: A, B, C. Each module can be assembled in different combinations.
The 3-layer structure designed by Mardegan Legno, was created with the aim of being the natural substitute for traditional solid hardwood parquet, capturing its positive characteristics and exceeding performance limits. The 3-layer solid oak structure allows for the creation of a surface with maximum stability and flatness over time. The 3 layers of oak, assembled with the fibers crossed between them, compensate for any natural movement of the wood and at the same time allow the right flexibility to the board, subjected to environmental stress due to variations in temperature and humidity. The first layer is in 5.2 mm solid oak, which guarantees various shavings for maintenance and/or restoration over time.
The finish is obtained by a thermal process that, depending on the duration and the technology used, create different shades. The floor is available in two natural colors: INFINITY and DEEP FOREST.
